sorry for taking so long to answer. I had the response typed in, but I was not logged in so it didn't post.
I have a new phone, motorola atrix hd. very difficult typing in text boxes.
    .
put a new battery in your phone. If it does not show green as if its charge, or shows the white battery, and if it has no charge. Then you will need to plug in a third party car charger and jump start your phone. first take your battery out actually and plug your phone into a charger either in the house or in the car. you should see a flashing starburst icon in the middle of your screen. about every 4 seconds. leave it plugged in for a few minutes. at this point I pop the battery into the phone. my phone at the time was plugged into the car charger. when I pop the battery into the phone then the battery show the green were previously it had shown white. I apologize if this answer sounds miss combobulated with many ..mis*****ings and typos. as I said before, typing into text boxes with this motorola atrix hd is very tedious.
my phone turned back on and acted normally.
then I left the phone on the charger for a while and
eventually this thing did the same thing a day later. I took it back to my car plug in the phone with no battery when I saw the starburst start flashing I pop the battery in and saw a green battery again and the phone powered on again. Back up my phone isa next

Having the same issue. So a new battery worked for you? I guess batteries are cheap so maybe I will try the same thing. What options did you change on your phone before you replaced the battery?

I was fortunate enough to speak with a very helpful, knowledgeable rep, Pamela Gia. She talked me through several troubleshooting questions, then sent me a new battery. I had purchased another battery two months before, but she sent me another one to make sure it wasn't the battery.

She called me back after the battery arrived and after a few minutes on the charger, i pushed the Power button on the phone and the battery turned from white to green and the phone powered up! WOW! Thanks again, Pamela Gia!

Now I am backing up the entire phone to my computer. Whew!

This afternoon I went to make a call only to find my phone "dead". Ok so I went to power it back up and got NOTHING. I removed the battery,SIM card, and SD card and waited a few seconds. I replaced everything. Still nothing. I was on the road so I hooked it up to the car charger. NOTHING. I got home and hooked it into my home charger. NOTHING. The phone has never been dropped. It has never been wet. It has always had a protective case and screen guard. The phone company thinks it's a bad battery and are sending me one. My question is this. If the battery is "bad" like the phone company suggest shouldn't the phone still "boot" and power up when it's connected to a charger? Thanks in advance if any one can help. Take care...........
