Hello, I am looking for same...The best thing you should grumble to the mobile cell phone system company. In situation they can't help then take help from place where you have bought the cell phone.

You should complain to the network provider. In case they can't help then take help from place where you have purchased the phone.

I recently bought hundreds of the Metro PCS Model SCH R350 Freedom phones that were bulk packaged as they would come from a manufacture. Just phones no batteries nor chargers. When powered up they all say initial programming needed and show a phone number of: 000 000 6798 or similar.

Long story short everyone of these phones can make free phone calls. I thought at first this was just a prepaid phone with limited minutes. After hundreds of minutes and over the course of months now, they still can make free calls.

It is on the cricket network that they work.

I was wondering if anyone has any idea why these work when they have NEVER been activated?

They can not receive calls just place calls because they have no phone number associated with them that is usable..
