I remember getting my Sanyo SCP 8000 series phones, (first 8100 then 8400), because of the personalization you could do to them. And using MP3 files as ring tones, etc..

Now life has changed. I am disabled, limited income, and need to replace the old 8400.

I do not want to pay 80 a month for services I am not using, and if I wanted my phone to be a laptop, I would by an IPad with phone capabilities.

So, I am not sure which way to go, or where to turn. I want a phone with the functionality, but a service that only makes me pay for what I use, preferably without a contract.

    Any Ideas?
