I used to think the iphone keyboard was a crazy idea and couldn't type on it at all. Now I can type on it and my S3 without a problem.

When I changed from a blackberry to a iphone, it was very strange beacuse I couldn't feel the keybpard. I habe got use to it, but still miss the physical side of the keyboard being there

Have you used an application such as Swype? Did that help you with the touchscreen keyboard? That is what I used when I first got an Android phone. After a while though it was more accurate to type myself rather than using Swype.

It was like the keys were too shallow or something, because they didn't press well and I'd find myself accidentally pressing other keys aside from the ones I was trying to press.
If there was a phone with a large, easy to type on, sturdy keyboard, would you still prefer the virtual keyboard, or would you choose to use the better built physical keyboard?

If there was a decent physical keyboard I might be willing to try it. I would need to see if it would help me type faster and more accurately or not. If not, I'd probably just stick with the virtual keyboard that I'm used to.

    That's a great question.

I used to prefer physical keyboards, but with the larger screens, and better keyboard on Android, I am fine with the touchscreen keyboard now.

I'm sure there are still people that prefer physical keyboards so I hope they keep making a decent amount of phones with them.

I would rather text on a physical keyboard than on a virtual one, but I will still buy a phone without a physical keyboard if all the other specs are really good.

With touchscreen phones becoming more and more popular, physical keyboards seem to be disappearing quickly. Is it important to you that your cell phone have a physical keyboard, or do you prefer to text on a virtual QWERTY keyboard?
