To Use Your Smartphone as a Mobile Hotspot

You can share your internet connection to another device or laptop by turning on your smartphone into a mobile hotspot and sharing your cellular data connection over Wi-Fi. Using this setting, other Wi-Fi enable devices will be able to connect to your device and use your data connection to access the Internet.

    1. From the Start screen, swipe right to Apps.
    2. Tap Settings.
    3. Touch internet sharing.
    4. Under Sharing, turn the switch to ON.
    5. Now tap setup and make the following changes:

Broadcast name: Enter a name for your mobile hotspot. This name will be visible to other people that try to connect to your hotspot.
Password: in order to secure your mobile hotspot, you should enter a password. This way only authorize people will be allowed to have access to your data connection.

    6. When you’re done, tap the Checked icon to save the settings.
    7. If you want to turn internet sharing OFF, touch the switch again.

Note: It is recommended that you plug in your device while using internet sharing, as it uses a lot of power, causing your battery to drain faster.
