Customizing the Home screen

1. Tap and hold any empty space on the Home screen.
2. Tap the plus sign (+) located at the top right corner of the screen.
3. Tap Shortcuts.
4. Select the application that you want to add.
5. The selected icon will appear on the Home screen.
6. Tap and hold the icon and drag it to a different position on the Home screen.
7. If you want to remove the icon -> tap and hold it and then drag it to the Recycle Bin icon located at the bottom of the screen.

Changing the Wallpaper

1. Tap and hold any empty space on the Home screen.
2. Then tap the Display icon located at the top left corner of the screen.
3. Tap Wallpaper.
4. Select the desired option:

• Setting an image from the Album – tap the photo that you want to set as wallpaper – resize the photo and then tap Crop.
• Setting a Live Wallpaper – tap the live wallpaper that you want to use - > tap Set Wallpaper.
• Setting an Xperia Wallpapers – Select the desired wallpaper form the list and tap Set Wallpaper.

Changing the Ringtone

1. Drag the notification bar down and tap Settings.
2. Under Device, tap Sound.
3. Make the desired settings for the volume of your ringtones and messages.
4. Tap Phone ringtone and select the ringtone that you want to use.

Setting the Text and Multimedia Message (MMS)Tone

1. From the Home screen tap the Messaging icon pictured like a smiley face.
2. Then tap the Menu icon.
3. Tap Settings.
4. Tap Notification Tone.
5. Select the notification tone that you want to use and tap Done.
6. To return to the Home screen, press the Home key.

Adding a widget

1. Slide to the Home screen where you want to add the widget.
2. Tap and hold an empty space on the screen.
3. Tap the plus sign icon (+) located at the top right corner of the screen.
4. Select the widget or shortcut that you want to add.
5. You will now see the updated home screen.

Moving, deleting or resizing a widget or shortcut

1. Touch and hold the desired shortcut or widget until it pops into the foreground and make the following settings:

• to delete – drag the widget or shortcut to the recycle bin.
• to move – drag the widget or shortcut to the new location where you want to place it and then let go of your finger.
• to resize – tap and hold the lower corner of the shortcut or widget and then drag it inwards or outwards until it has the desired size.

Note: Some widgets or shortcuts don’t have to option to be resized.
