Add a Widget to the Home Screen

You can use widgets to have the most important information as well as media content right on the Home screen. You will see that some of the available widgets are already on the Home screen, but you can add many more from your smartphone’s selection or even download some more from the Google Play Store.

1. Tap and hold any empty area on the Home screen of your smartphone.
2. You will see a widgets tab, were you can: slide left or right to see all the widgets available, tap the magnifying glass icon to look for a particular widget or tap All Widgets to open a selection menu and choose one of the widgets there.
3. Then drag the desired widget to the Home screen location where you want to add it.

Tip: Some widgets provide quick access to settings like Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, so you can easily enable or disable these settings.

Change the Settings of a Widget

Some widgets are customizable and you can modify their basic settings. Widgets such as the People and Mail ones have this option available.

1. Tap and hold the desired widget from your Home screen and drag it to Edit.
2. You will then see a screen where you are able to change certain settings for the desired widget.
3. Make the changes as desired.

Resize a Widget

1. Tap and hold the desired widget from your Home screen and release then release it. In case an arrow button appears on the widget, then you can resize it.
2. Drag the arrow icon to resize the widget as desired.

Add Shortcuts on the Home Screen

1. Tap and hold any empty space on the Home screen of your smartphone.
2. From the Apps or Shortcuts tab, select to add shortcut or an app.
3. If you want to add an app, you can also go to the Home screen and tap Apps -> tap and hold the desired app and then drag it to the Home screen.

Personalize the Launch Bar

1. Tap and hold the app from your launch bar that you wish to replace.
2. Drag the app out of the launch bar and then tap Apps.
3. Now tap and hold the app that you wish to add to the launch bar and drag it to the empty space you’ve just created.
Tip: You can even place shortcuts to information or settings on the launch bar. First you need to add the shortcut to the Home screen and then just drag it to the launch bar. Also, the shortcuts and apps from the launch bar will be displayed on the lock screen.

Group Apps into a Folder

1. Tap and hold any app from the Home screen and then simply drag it over another app and then release the finger. This will automatically create a new folder.
2. To open the folder, just tap it.
3. Then tap the plus sign (+) and select the apps that you wish to add to the new folder and tap Add.

Rename a Folder

1. Tap the desired folder to open it.
2. Then tap the title bar of the folder and enter the desired name.
3. To close the folder and save the name, just tap outside of the folder.

Remove Items from the Folder

1. Open the desired folder.
2. Tap and hold the shortcut or app that you wish to remove and then drag it to the Home screen, or drag it to the remove icon. Repeat the same process for all the apps or shortcuts you wish to remove.
Note: In case you have only one shortcut or app left in the folder, then the folder will automatically remove itself.
