Thanks to your smarpthone, you can synchronize many types of accounts, such as Google, Microsoft Exchange or social networking websites like Twitter or Facebook, and be updated as you go. By enabling the syncing options, you'll be up to speed with any new information in your account.

Adding a Google Account

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings -> select Accounts and sync.
3. Then tap Add account -> select Google.
4. From the Add a Google Account screen, tap Next and select one of the following options:
• Create – and follow the onscreen prompts to create a new account.
• Sign in – Tap the Username field and enter your email address, tap the Password field and enter your password -> when finished, tap Sign in.
5. Your smartphone will then set up your account. Once the process has been successfully completed, you’ll be able to see your Google account in Accounts and sync -> Manage accounts.

Managing a Google Account

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings -> select Accounts and sync.
3. To see the Data & synchronization menu, tap your Google account.
4. Make the desired modifications in the settings by tapping to disable or enable them. You can make the following synching options:
• Sync Books – By enabling this syncing option the ebooks in your Play Books will be synched with the ebooks on your smartphone.
• Sync Contacts – Enable this option if you’d like your Google contacts to be synced with your Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G.
• Sync Gmail – By enabling this option your Gmail messages will be synched on your smartphone.
• Sync Picasa Web Albums –Synchronize your Gallery photos with your online Picasa albums.
• Sync Calendar – You can sync your Google calendar with your device.

Adding a Microsoft Exchange Account

Tip: Before you try to add a Microsoft Exchange account, you should obtain the name of your Exchange Domain server.

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings -> select Accounts and sync.
3. Then tap Add accounts -> and choose Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
4. Under Add Exchange account – enter the Email address and Password in the corresponding fields and when finished, tap Done -> Next.
5. Under Exchange server settings -> enter the server settings and tap Next. The smartphone will then attempt to confirm your account.
6. Go to the Account options screen -> select Account Settings and tap Next.
7. Tap Set up email and enter a name for the account (this name will be displayed on the screen) -> then enter a name as you’d like to appear on your outgoing messages. When finished, tap Done.
8. To see your account, go to Accounts and sync -> tap Manage accounts and you’ll be able to see it.

Managing an Microsoft Exchange Account

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings -> select Accounts and sync.
3. Tap Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and select Account settings. You can now make changes to your signature, account name, choose to split view mode and sync your contacts or calendar, etc.

Adding a Facebook Account

Note: You smartphone has to be registered with Facebook before you can use it to access the website. To do so, just go to your Facebook account -> Account Settings -> and select Activate a Phone and follow the instructions.

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings and select Accounts and sync -> then tap Add account -> select Facebook.
3. Tap Email and enter your email address.
4. Tap Password and enter your password.
5. When ready, tap Log in and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the set-up.

Adding a Twitter account

Note: You smartphone has to be registered with Facebook before you can use it to access the website. To do so, just go Twitter.com Settings and follow the instructions found in the Mobile area to register your Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G.

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
2. Tap Settings and select Accounts and sync -> then tap Add account -> select Twitter.
3. Tap Email and enter your email address.
6. Tap Password and enter your password.
4. When ready, tap Log in and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the set-up.
