Correct - if they were some how spoofing the number. Depending on how that is done depends on how it shows up on your bill. Some methods only spoof the caller ID.

Ok, so let me see if I understand. Lets say, hypothetically speaking, if someone used a prepaid phone with an app that disguises the number that the call is coming from then it would appear on my bill, but not on the fake callers bill. Do I have this right? This never occurred to me as a possibility, but makes sense now.

That was one of the things suggested by the attorney. The part I don't get is if I received the call and it shows up on my bill then shouldn't it show up on someone else's bill as an outgoing call? It just seems like there would be better ways to track it and see what's happening.

I only know the number for their personal cell, but I know they forward their work cell calls to their personal cell. How does that make a difference? Thanks.

Is that person forwarding their calls somehow?

I've been receiving calls for quite awhile now from someone I have a protection order out on. I submitted my phone bills to my attorney and his were subpoened and they aren't on his bill as outgoing calls, only on mine as incoming. How is this possible? Now they are accusing me of faking them, but I haven't. I have a Motorola Droid through Verizon. Thanks.
