"it will overwrite when it hits its threshold"

Good to know, thanks! Of course the manual doesn't mention that (that I've noticed anyway). Had hoped it would just beep and tell me the chip was full. Anyway yes, I'll post the results back here.

If the battery is charged your phone should continue to record, and then it will overwrite when it hits its threshold, the only way to know for sure is to experiment. You should report back your results in case anyone else wanted to know.

OK I had given up on LG support but they finally replied, "Taking in consideration the standard format for voice record .amr, it takes 12kb/sec. If you have a 16 gigabytes microSD card, you can record 240740 minutes approximately."

That's over 4000 hours! Doesn't seem possible. And I don't know what "standard" format is... the phone manual says "You can set it to Fine, Normal, or Economy"... OK standard is probably "Normal"... anyway if they are even in the ballpark it's plenty of time at any quality... I'll just try the damned thing!

That's a very good question. It depends on how the phone encodes the audio. It is definitely only mono. Hopefully someone with this phone can comment.

New to cell phones with a very basic LG GU295. Want to use the voice recording feature (for recording meetings, etc., NOT for phone conversations). Going to buy the maximum supported 16gb microSD card. Wondering how long (hours, minutes) the recording can be, at the various quality settings. LG could not provide this info! They said, "until the card is full"...! No kidding. So how long can it record 'til the otherwise unused card is maxxed out? Anyone used their (similar?) phone this way? Is the quality any good? Thanks!
