If you are receiving calls from a phone number with the caller ID "000-000-0000", it is likely that the number is spoofed. Caller ID spoofing is a technique used by scammers to hide their true identity and make it appear as if they are calling from a different number.

Spoofed calls can be used for a variety of reasons, including to conduct phishing scams or to try and get you to provide personal information such as your Social Security number, credit card information, or bank account details. It is done because somewhere you have added your personal phone number for verification and that could not secure your phone number. The best way to avoid this is to use real phone number generator to generate phone number and use these phone numbers where you do not want too add your phone number.

You can also try to block the number if your phone allows it. Some carriers also offer services to block calls from known spam or scam numbers.

Anyone getting calls from 000-000-0000 ?

I just got a call on my cell phone. It was an automated message saying that I had won a gift card and that I would need to pay $3.99 to activate it. Yeah right!

So I did some research, and it was more than likely an offshore 'company' making cloaked robocalls. Unfortunately they are hard to trace.

If you have any more information please respond here.
