well thanks for the effort..but i think the wifi is pretty much a lost cause...which is a shame because the rest of the phone really isn't that bad. Its a decent phone for the price. I know there is a lot of complaining going on about the keypad being a bit small..but i really haven't had an issue with it..just took a day or 2 to get use to. I will keep looking around but really dont have much hope of resolving it. I may end up sending it in and getting a replacement but the thought of being with out a phone for 2 weeks isnt to appealing so i'll probably just deal with it...but thanks again!

I did a quick search and found the same thing you did. No one appears to have an answer :-/

yeah thats kind of the way i took it as well. Samsung will not deal with the phone since strait talk is the carrier. I contacted strait talk about the issue and after about 2 hours on the phone with them the best they had to offer was for me to try and re flash the phone..which isn't even an option on that phone or send it in for a replacement that i am almost certain has the same issue. It wouldn't be an issue if a person could just go in and alter one of the existing profiles and re-save it but there is no wifi settings that i have found in the phone to allow a person to do this. I have never had a phone that you couldn't do a factory reset on and clear all of the memory out other than the sim card...and that leads me to wonder if that's where the profiles are written to? I did a google search and it's pretty wide spread and nobody has seemed to be able to find a work around as of yet. I did blast samsung a little about the lack of support for their own products..carrier or not they know the programming of the phone but they wont touch it with a 10 foot poll because they see it as someone else's problem. I informed them that the company's that are marketing their products are giving them a bad name due to the..none support that they offer!

Very odd - it sounds like a software bug.

I know this is a pretty little miniscule question in the big world of the android phones, but i do like using this phone as it seems to be rather durable. The issue that i have is with the wifi. It seems that i have reached the wifi profile limit on how many profiles that the phone will store. It will tell me that in order to store an additional profile that i must delete one of the previously stored ones, thus the problem.. when the selection screen prompts me to select which profiles that i would like to delete, I check mark them and confirm that yes i do want to delete them, how ever once i click the yes button.....nothing happens..the selections are still check marked as if i had never clicked yes. Whether i select one...or all of them the result is the same. I have tried both soft and hard resetting the phone to clear the memory to no avail. Everything else will delete, but the profiles always reappear and i am at a total lose as to why...and so are the folks at strait talk...but then thats not much of a surprise..because all the phone company's seem to do is the same thing we do.. and that's read the manual..which does not even acknowledge that this phone is wifi capable! Any help with this would be very much appreciated!
