Straight Talk uses GSM towers where MetroPCS uses CDMA. You may see a difference in coverage. With Straight Talk you also have a larger selection of phones since you can bring you own unlocked phone if you wanted to.

I have been seeing lots of ads for Walmart's Straight Talk. I have been a MetroPCS customer for many years. I was wondering if there is anything better about Straight Talk that would make me want to switch. Is it worth the extra $5 a month?
