When you get your next phone, you might be interested in purchasing insurance or a Square Trade warranty.

My friend's SIII also got wet and she buried the phone on rice (dry/uncooked rice) for a few days and it worked just fine after that. You have to take off the battery and the back case too. I hope you can still recover your phone. If not, maybe you can apply for the service warranty and you just pay for the parts to get it repaired.

Oh no! Do not ever put a blow dryer to your phone. All you do is succeed in blowing water even further into the inner parts of the phone. Besides which the heat from the blow dryer can wreak havoc on the small parts in there. The only suggestion I have for you is to pull the battery off and set it in uncooked rice for a few days. If that doesn't work, you will probably have to get a new phone.

It sounds like something shorted internally, but you should try the steps here: http://cellphoneforums.net/general-c...-gets-wet.html

and maybe it'll come back to life - otherwise you'll have to get a new one and sell this one for parts.
