    Setting Up a Screen Lock Pattern

    1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
    2. Tap Settings -> select My Device -> under My device, tap Lock screen -> tap Screen lock -> select Pattern -> draw the desired security patter by tapping and dragging.
    3. In case you want to redraw the pattern and tap Retry.
    4. When you're satisfied with the pattern, tap Continue -> redraw the same pattern and tap Confirm.
    5. Enter a backup PIN as well -> tap Continue -> re-enter the PIN and tap OK.
    6. Check or uncheck the desired pattern option.
    7. Congratulations! The lock screen patter has been set!

    Checking for the Software Version

    1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
    2. Tap Settings -> under the More tab -> go to About device -> the Software version and the Android version will then be displayed.

    Checking for Software Updates

    1. From the Home screen, tap the Menu key.
    2. Then tap Settings -> tap the More tab and select System Update -> select Update Samsung Software -> tap Check now.
    3. If there’s a system update available, follow the on-screen prompts to install it, or press the Home key if there’s no new update.

    Clearing the App Cache

    1. Go to the Home screen and tap the Menu key.
    2. Then tap Settings -> tap the More tab and select Application manager -> then go to the All tab -> tap the desired app -> then tap Clear cache.

    Note: Some apps don’t have the option to clear cache.
    Setting up Google Drive

    1. Open the Play Store to download Google Drive.
    2. Tap the Search icon and type in Google Drive –> then tap the Search icon again.
    3. Tap Google Drive ->select Install -> take a look at the application permissions -> tap Accept & download if you agree -> tap KEEP SHOPPING ->Google Drive has been installed.
    4. Tap Open to open the app -> read the Terms of Service -> tap Accept.
    5. Read the Meet your Drive prompt -> tap OK.
    6. Congrats! Google Drive has been successfully installed and is now ready to use.

    Using Samsung Hub

    Samsung Hub is a marketplace where you’ll find lots of content for purchase, such as movies, tv shows, music, games or books.
    1. From the Home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Then tap Samsung Hub -> you can now take a look at the latest books, movies, games or music.
    3. Scroll to the right or select the desired category.
    4. When scrolling to the right, you can see and browse a particular category at a time, so scroll until you find the desired category.
    5. If you want to download a certain app, such as a game, go to the Games tab -> then tap GAMES -> go to the desired game and tap it to download the game -> you may receive the Samsung Apps disclaimer -> read it and tap Accept if you agree -> then tap Free or tap the app purchase price in case it’s not free.
    6. You now may be required to Sign in to your Samsung account. If this particular screen isn’t displayed, though, it means your account has already been set up on your Samsung Galaxy S4.
    7. In case you don’t have a Samsung account created, tap Create new account and follow the on-screen prompts.
    8. Then enter the login details -> tap Sign in.
    9. Finally, tap Accept and download.
    10. The app will then be installed.
