Suffered from losing important contacts, photos and other files from your iPhone 4S by improper operations? Dr.Fone (iPhone 4S) will help you get out of the jams instantly.

Accidentally deleted important photos and contacts from your iPhone 5? Erased all data by restoring iPhone 5 to factory settings? Don't worry. With Dr.Fone (iPhone 5), you can easily get back your lost files.

Dr.Fone for iPhone 5 is designed to recover contacts, messages, notes, safari bookmarks and more from your iPhone 5 directly even without backup. Besides, if you have backed up iPhone 5 with iTunes before data loss, it will also help you extract the lost from iTunes backup file of your iPhone 5.

4.Right-click (Ctrl-click on a Mac) on the iPhone icon in the “Devices” column and select “Restore From Backup.” Select one of the backup versions from the drop-down menu and click the “Restore” button. This will restore any contacts that you have lost since your last sync in iTunes.

5.Eject your iPhone and review the Contact list on your device. All lost contacts should be restored to your list.
Thank you for the post! This should be helpful to many.

In this case though, the member had not synced the contacts through iTunes, so I'm assuming this wouldn't work.

In most cases, this should help.

It's good that you're backing them up now, so it doesn't happen again.

    Try to do via iCloud:
settings>iCloud>check to see if your signed in or have contacts on, if you do then turn off contacts, keep on phone, turn back on, merge and your contacts should show up again.

Did you happen to find the old SIM card with contacts on it?

Next time, you might want to back up contacts online. There are applications that should be able to do that.

Did she have a phone prior to the new (used) iPhone 4? Is there any chance of retrieving numbers from there? It's a bummer to start all over again, but it sounds like you might have to.

Oh right, you said that - unfortunately if you didn't have them stored anywhere else then you can't retrieve them. On a restore everything is deleted.

I was having issues with my wife's iphone 4 (covered in different thread). One possible solution was to restore the phone back to the factory settings. I did that but only took the SIM card out half way through the process. I lost all my contacts. Is there a way to get it back? I have never connected the phone to itunes. Is the information stored somewhere in the phone? I did try contacts from SIM but that didn't do anything. Any help would be really helpful.
