What kind of files are you importing? It may be easier to start over and load them into your Google contact list first, then sync it with the phone.

I just purchased my new Samsung Galaxy S4 and rather than recopying all my contacts over, one at the time, I copied files with the contact lists/files I made many times through the years I had my old phone. I imported the contact files through the Micro SD Card and I thought I would have a choice of what file to take but it copied them all and now I have many of the same name throughout my contact list. Is there a way to merge the contact information or bulk delete the repeated names. It will take me much time to delete one name at the time. Another thought would to delete the contact list altogether and start again. Can someone help!!!
