Do you have your Google account linked to your phone? Contacts should be stored in internal memory.

    Hi

I recently purchased a galaxy ace and have two questions concerning my contact list:

    (a) Are my contacts stored on the phone, on the SD card I added to increase storage capacity or on the sim card?

    (b) I have got my self into a mess on this and had my contacts stored on both the sim, and also on the phone [or SD card which ever is the answer to (a) above] and, furthermore, many of the contacts have been duplicated several times. I downloaded Samsung Kies and amended my contact list stored on my computer. If I now transfer the revised list to my phone will it just add the revised list to the existing list or will it delete everything other than the contacts being exported from my computer, which is what I am trying to achieve, or do I need to delete all contacts on phone/sim first, then export from computer?
