Unfortunately without having the phone in hand it makes it very difficult to determine what is wrong with it. It sounds like the digitizer died or lost power. Your best bet is to take it to a repair shop and hope they can revive it.

    Hello to you all.

Need some help, bought a chinese Galaxy SIII compatible a little less than 2 months ago, model: star i9300 3G, MTK6577.

Today the screen stopped working though the phone itself keeps working and getting calls, just the screen stays black.

Nothing happend to the phone, it didnt fall down or got knocked or got wet, it did worked well this morning.

I tried to charge the battery fully and change to a different battery, didnt help.

Please if someone has any idea/clue/experience what to do.

    Thanks in advanced.

    Gaby

P.S - hope i'm in the right forum.

    - Maybe something to do with the proximity sensor ??
