Setting a Secure Lock Screen Option:

The Samsung Galaxy Ring arrives with multiple lock screen options, each of them providing no, little or higher security. To access these options:

    1. Tap the "Apps" icon on the home screen
    2. Find and select "Settings" then tap "Lock screen". This will give you access to a handful of lock screen options.

    - Swipe: this feature offers no security and is enabled by default.
    - Face Unlock: this security option uses face detection technology in order to unlock your phone. Tap to enable it and follow the on-screen instructions. (The more photos of yourself you capture in various conditions, the better the algorithm gets)
    - Pattern: allows you to set a pattern-based secure lock screen.
    - PIN: if enabled, you will need to type-in your SIM card's PIN whenever you unlock your phone
    - Password: gives you the option to set a password as a lock screen security option
    - None: disables all lock screen security options

Lock Screen Options for "Swipe" Mode:

With the "Swipe" lock screen mode enabled, the user can configure a wide range of options, from adding / removing lock screen shortcuts to enabling or disabling weather information

    1. Tap the "Apps" icon and go to "Settings"
    2. Select "Lock Screen" > "Lock Screen options". In the menu that appears you can configure features such as:

    - Shortcuts: tap to enable, add or disable lock screen app shortcuts
    - Information ticker: enables or disables the scrolling ticker on the lock screen
    - Clock: tap to enable or disable the digital clock on the lock screen
    - Weather: tap to enable or disable local weather information on the lock screen
