    Sending and Viewing Text Messages:

    1. Tap the "Messaging" icon located on the home screen
    2. Press the "New message" icon located at the bottom-left corner of the screen
    3. Tap the "To" field then type-in the desired recipient's phone number
    4. Tap the "Type message" field and write the desired message
    5. When ready, press the "Send" icon (bottom-right corner)

    To view your text messages:

    1. Tap the "Messaging" icon on the home screen
    2. Select the desired message thread

    Sending and Receiving Text Messages Containing Images:

    1. On the home screen, tap the "Messaging" icon
    2. Tap the "New message" icon
    3. Type in the name or phone number of the recipient in the "To" field
    4. To attach an image to your text message, tap the icon depicted as a paperclip (top-right corner)
    5. Select "Pictures", tap the desired album and select the image you wish to attach
    6. Optionally, type in your message in the appropriate field
    7. Press the "Send" icon

    To view and save a message attachment:

    1. Access the "Messaging" app then select the desired conversation
    2. Once the multimedia message is displayed, you can tap the "Save" icon to save the attachment

    Forwarding a Text / Multimedia Message:

    1. Tap the "Messaging" icon
    2. Select the desired message thread
    3. Touch and hold the message that you wish to forward
    4. Select "Forward"
    5. Tap the "To" field and type in the recipient's name or phone number
    6. Edit the message as you see fit. When ready, press the "Send" icon

    Enabling / Disabling Emergency Alerts:

    1. Access the "Messaging" application
    2. Press the "Menu" capacitive button on your device
    3. Select "Settings" > "Emergency Alerts"
    4. Check or uncheck the "Emergency RMT Messages" option.
    5. Optionally, you can check or uncheck various other features such as "Imminent Threat-Extreme" or "Amber Alerts". "Presidential Alerts" cannot be disabled.
