    Setting up Exchange Email

    1. Go to the home screen and tap Apps.
    2. Then tap Microsoft Exchange.
    3. In case an email account has already been set up on your LG Optimus L3 press the Menu key and tap Add account.
    4. Fill in the Email address and Password fields.
    5. The Username field will be automatically populated based on the email address you entered.
    6. Make sure all the information is correct and tap Next.
    7. In the Server address field, enter the server name.
    8. Tap Domain and enter the domain provided by your email provider.
    9. Check or uncheck Accept all SSL certificates or Use secure connection (SSL), then tap Next.
    10. Select the desired syncing options and tap Next.
    11. Tap Account name and name your account.
    12. In the Your name field enter the name you’d like to appear in the outgoing messages.
    13. When finished, tap Done.

    Note: You may need to contact your email provider in order to verify the exchange server settings.

    Setting up a Gmail Account

    1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Gmail.
    3. In case you don’t have a Google account created just yet, tap New and follow the on-screen prompts to create one right away.
    4. To sign in with your existing account, tap Existing.
    5. Tap the Email and Password fields and enter the necessary information -> tap Next.
    6. Read the Terms of Service if prompted and tap OK if you agree.
    7. Read the Backup and restore prompt and check/uncheck the backup options as desired.
    8. Then tap the Next arrow.
    9. Congratulations! You Google email account has just been set up.

    Setting up IMAP Email

    1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Email.
    3. Tap Other.
    4. In case you already have an email account set up, press the Menu key -> tap Accounts -> press the Menu key again and then tap Add account.
    5. Then in the Email address field, enter your email address.
    6. Tap the Password field and enter your password and tap Next.
    7. Now you LG Optimus L3 will automatically search for the settings. In case the settings are found, change your account settings as desired and name your account in the Your name field.
    8. In case your smartphone was not able to find the settings, tap IMAP -> tap Next.
    9. Tap the POP/IMAP server field and enter imap.mail.-your-email-type-.com. For example: imap.mail.yahoo.com.
    10. Tap Security type and choose SSL.
    11. Tap the Port number field and enter 933 and tap Next.
    12. Tap the SMTP server field and enter smtp.mail.-your-email-type-.com. For example: smpt.live.com.
    13. Then from the Security type field, select SSL.
    14. In the Port number field, enter 465 and tap Next.
    15. Tap Account name and enter the desired name.
    16. Tap the Your name field and enter your name as you’d like it to appear on the outgoing emails.
    17. When finished, tap Done.

    Setting up POP3 Email

    1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Email -> tap Other.
    3. In case you already have an email account set up, press the Menu key -> tap Accounts -> press the Menu key again and then tap Add account.
    4. Then in the Email address field, enter your email address.
    5. Tap the Password field and enter your password and tap Next.
    6. Now you LG Optimus L3 will automatically search for the settings. In case the settings are found, make the desired account settings and enter a name for your account in the Your name field.
    7. In case your smartphone was not able to find the settings, tap POP3 -> tap Next.
    8. Tap the POP/IMAP server field and enter pop3.0 your-email-type-.com. For example: pop3.live.com.
    9. Tap Security type and choose SSL.
    10. Tap the Port number field and enter 995 and tap Next.
    11. Tap the SMTP server field and enter smtp.-your-email-type-.com. For example: smtp.live.com.
    12. Then from the Security type field, select SSL.
    13. In the Port number field, enter 587 and tap Next.
    14. Tap Account name and enter the desired name.
    15. Tap the Your name field and enter your name as you’d like it to appear on the outgoing emails.
    16. When finished, tap Done.
