Has anyone activated a Verizon Wireless phone on Straight Talk yet? If so, what was your experience like?

You can check if your Verizon phone can be activated here: straighttalkbyop.com

You can bring in an unlocked Verizon phone that has a SIM card slot, but be aware that it most likely lacks the required data bands so you may find yourself on EDGE (2G).

I apologize, it looks like the plan to do it was canceled. They had websites up to activate Verizon Wireless phones, and it looks like it was taken down.

Well, we know they were thinking about doing it. I wonder why they decided to cancel it last minute.

Recently, it was announced that Straight Talk is now allowing Verizon Wireless phones. I believe you need to purchase an activation code for a low cost ($10 - $15).

What android phone do you have?

In all likelihood though, no. Verizon phones are set to use CDMA frequencies and with the exception of 4g LTE phones, don't have SIM cards. Even the Verizon phones with GSM capabilities block US GSM frequencies. So without a lot of software/firmware modification, the phone will not work with Straight Talk
