    Sending and Receiving a Text

    1. Go to the Start screen and tap the Messaging tile.
    2. In case the Messaging tile was removed, go to the Start screen, swipe left and then tap Messaging.
    3. Tap the plus sign icon (+) to create a new message.
    4. In the To field, enter the name or phone number of the person you wish to send your message to.
    5. To select one of your phone book contacts, tap the plus sign icon located in the top right corner of the screen and choose the desired contact.
    6. In the message field, enter your message.
    7. When done, tap the Send icon located at the bottom left side of the screen.
    8. The message is now sent.
    9. If you want to open a newly received message, go to the Start screen and tap Messaging.
    10. Tap the message thread that you wish to view.
    11. The message will then be displayed.

    Forwarding a Text

    1. Go to the Start screen and tap the Messaging tile.
    2. In case the Messaging tile was removed, go to the Start screen, swipe left and then tap Messaging.
    3. Touch the desired message conversation.
    4. Touch and hold the message that you wish to forward.
    5. Then tap forward.
    6. In the To field, enter the desired contact name or phone number.
    7. Edit the message if you want.
    8. When finished, tap the send icon.

    Adding a Picture to a Text

    1. Go to the Start screen and tap the Messaging tile.
    2. In case the Messaging tile was removed, go to the Start screen, swipe left and then tap Messaging.
    3. Tap the plus sign icon (+) to create a new message.
    4. In the To field, enter the name or phone number of the person you wish to send your message to.
    5. To select one of your phone book contacts, tap the plus sign icon located in the top right corner of the screen and choose the desired contact.
    6. In the message field, enter your message.
    7. Then tap the attach icon located at the bottom of the screen.
    8. Select the desired attachment type - in our case, picture.
    9. Tap the folder where the photo you wish to send is located in.
    10. Tap the photo that you want to send.
    11. When finished, tap the send icon.
    12. The text message (MMS) is now sent.

    Saving a Picture from an MMS (Multimedia Message)

    1. To view an MMS (multimedia message), go to the Start screen and tap the Messaging tile.
    2. In case the Messaging tile was removed, go to the Start screen, swipe left and then tap Messaging.
    3. Tap the message that you wish to view.
    4. Touch the image within the message.
    5. The image should then be displayed.
    6. To save the image, tap the More icon and select save to phone.

    Updating Emergency Alert Settings

    1. Go to the Start screen and tap the Messaging tile.
    2. In case the Messaging tile was removed, go to the Start screen, swipe left and then tap Messaging.
    3. Then tap the More icon.
    4. Touch Settings.
    5. Touch emergency alerts -> tap Emergency alerts again.
    6. Select the desired option (choose from Presidential only, Presidential and Extreme alerts or all alerts) and touch the Back key.
    7. You can disable any alert expect for the presidential one.
    8. The Emergency Alerts have been set.
