Setting the Camera Button to Open HTC Camera

    1. From the Start screen, slide to the left.
    2. Tap Settings, slide left to applications -> then tap photos+camera.
    3. Tap the Pressing the camera button opens box.
    4. Then tap HTC Camera.
    5. Tap the Back key.

Switch between the Front and Main Camera

    1. From the Start screen, tap the HTC Camera app.
    2. While on the Viewfinder screen, you have the following options available:
      • You can pull from the top or bottom edge in landscape view.
      • Or pull from the left or right edge in portrait view.
      • Then tap the Menu icon and, to toggle between Front and Main, tap the Camera switch

Taking a Photo with HTC Camera
    1. From the Start screen, open the HTC Camera app.
    2. Frame your subject (the camera will adjust the focus automatically and is also continuously refocusing as you move it).
    3. When you want to take a photo, tap the Capture icon.

Tip: If you go to photo settings and tap Touch to capture, you will be able to take photos when you tap any area on the screen.

    Taking Continuous Camera Shots

This setting is very useful if you have to take a photo of a moving subject.

    1. From the Start screen, tap the HTC Camera app.
    2. Frame your subject.
    3. Then tap and hold the Capture icon. Your device will take up to 20 consecutive photos. HTC Camera will then determine the best image and will assign it as the cover photo.
    4. Touch and hold the Capture icon. The camera takes up to 20 consecutive shots of your subject. HTC Camera determines the best shot and assigns it as the cover photo.
Note: You can use Burst mode only when you’re using the "normal" camera mode. If there’s any effect lenses applied, HTC Camera will take only one photo at a time.
    5. After the shots are taken, you have several options available:
      • If you wish to keep a single photo -> select your preferred photo, and tap the Save icon. This will delete all other photos.
      • If you would like to change the cover image for your burst shot, select the desired image photo -> and then tap Save.
      • If you want to delete more than one image from the burst shot, tap the Trashcan icon -> select the photos you wish to delete and tap the Trashcan icon again. Otherwise, tap the Cancel icon to cancel.
      • You can also save the images as individual pictures by tapping the HTC camera burst icon

    Improving Portrait Shots

The portrait scene smoothens the skin in your photos, so use it whenever you’re about to take photos of your friends or family.

    1. From the Start screen, open the HTC Camera app.
    2. While on the Viewfinder screen, tap the More icon > then tap photo settings.
    3. Tap the Scene box -> then touch Portrait.
    4. Finally tap save.
    5. Frame your subject and when you're ready to take the picture, tap the Capture icon.
