Switched to another note II .....newer model....has a "fast t-mobile" VPN with 2g/3g/4g/LTE .
Now I show '4g' with 9.xx+ down and 10+ up...
Now phone does not even recognize wally family mobile....??

Works for me........now if I could only get the new vpn on the 'old' factory phone somehow.
    Tried back to back transfer......nada......
Tried type it in manually.....phone won't see it.......?

I'm ok with the new phone...it's a tmo but, it's unlocked and rooted so my hotspot works well without tmo jumping into the fray!!

Any hints on adding a new VPN........???

    Thanks y'all..............Ol'Ben

Contacted customer service....they agree that 3g/ H+ on tmo should show the same speeds as 3g/H+ on family mobile(which is the same tmo, according to them?)
They say after today my only remaining option is a 'master reset of my phone'......thru them of course.
What 'dangers' do I face with this approach?
    Safe enuff?.........

They switched my apn to a "wap" something or other...no improvement.

Samsung Note II.....factory unlocked and now rooted.

    Had tmo prepaid unlimited setup...when it showed 3g or H+ I got good speeds(via speedtests0).....sometimes 10 to 12.

Switched to wal-mart family...uses tmo towers?

    Now it shows 3g/ H+....BUT......speeds are less than 1 down/ 2 up........
    Is this normal for wally?
Can I peak and tweak the Note II to get my old speeds back?

    Am I missing something simple?

    Help please........
    Thanks already.....

    .............Ol'Ben
