In case anyone else is looking for a pager application.. here is my review of the onpage app free trial:

Downloaded the app onto my phone, and the process only took a couple minutes. It is pretty user friendly and easy to use & learn. The interface is nice and pleasant. The second i downloaded the app and registered to create my profile, i immediately got a welcome page.. that pager sound they have is completely unmissable! Loud, and repeating, it definitely stood out from any other sound on my phone. I came to find out that all incoming pages via the app sound this way. I thought that this was great, and just what i was looking for!

Some more positives: Some good features include multiple ways to page a user. You can page via phone, email, or app to app. Can change your ringtone, put your pager in pager off mode and reply & forward messages

Some negatives:The phone to page is a bit cumbersome for those who rely on a lot of pages via the telephone. You have to dial a toll free # then the ID (user account) and then enter in your callback number.. Not ideal for some user cases.

I started testing out this app as a free trial, but my trial is soon expiring and i am thinking of signing up! The pricing is okay.. but it is exactly what i am looking for so i think it will be a good change! Good bye Pager! If anyone else decides to try it let me know!

    Hi DustenRust,

Thanks for the option. I did take a look at it.. it is on track of what i am looking for, but it isn't as robust and have all of the features i need to be able to have. I need HIPAA compliance, secure encrypted transmission and potentially the ability to send to groups and what not.

I'm looking into OnPage right now.. Just looked into Tigertext as well but they only do "texting" i need a real pager replacement i can rely on. OnPage seems like a good choice so far in my research. They are completely compliant and secure, and allow 1,024 characters compared to my pager which has about 150. Thinking this could come in real handy. They have a free trial, i'm going to download and post my review on it.

    Hi Droider52,

I presume that you're looking for an Android app, and not one for your iPhone?

If so, then you could take a look at:

    Klaxon Oncall Pager - https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...d.klaxon&hl=en

    A1 Pager (Lite) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...m.a1pager.lite

A1 Pager (Pro) - The pro version costs about $2 so I suggest you try out the Lite (free) version first. - https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ager.pro&hl=en

Note that, I haven't really used these apps, and I also don't really know what you're looking for specifically and whether or not these apps would tick your boxes. That being said, read their description in the Play Store and see what's what

    I hope this helped.

Looking to replace my old pager, and figured there must be an app for that! Anyone know of any they recommend or I could try?
