I'm not sure how Bell updated the software on their SIII, but the they use a GSM version, so it should work on T-Mobile in the US as long as it's unlocked (it just won't work on AWS). see here for the various models: http://cellphoneforums.net/samsung-g...-variants.html

It looks like 4g LTE won't work over t-mobile in the US, but you'll get 3g data via HSPA+

Thanks for sharing the comparison site. My carrier is Bell Mobility and the specs for the SIII when comparing with S 4 have the SIII as not being compatible with the AWS of T-Mobile in the US - this is getting confusing, because I thought all Samsung cells sold in N. America could be used for here. I use T-Mobile when travelling in the US so need this feature (maybe I should just keep the Galaxy S Vibrant I have and not upgrade).

I'm pretty happy with my SIII. The difference in features between the two isn't terribly great, at least nothing that makes me want to upgrade to the S4.

I would like to upgrade from my Samsung Galaxy S (Vibrant I9000M) to either the Samsung Galaxy S III or S 4 - not thinking so much about the price, but more along the lines of "do I really need the S 4"? My ONLY big requirement is a quad band phone for use in N. America and Europe. Suggestions?
