    Transferring Audio Files

    Transferring Audio Files from Your PC (Windows):

    1. Connect your smartphone to your computer using the USB cable that came with your handset
    2. On your smartphone, drag the "Status" bar down, and tap "Connected as a media device", then tap "media device (MTP)"
    3. On your computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
    4. Navigate to the desired music files located on your computer
    5. Drag the files and drop them onto your phone's storage
    6. Once the transfer is finished, safely disconnect your smartphone from your computer

    Transferring Audio Files from Your PC (Mac):

    1. If necessary, go to "samsung.com/kies", click on "Download for Mac OS" and follow the instructions in order to download and install Kies on your computer
    2. Connect your smartphone to your Mac using the USB cable
    3. On your smartphone, drag the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device" > "Media device"
    4. On your Mac, open Kies
    5. In Kies, you can perform one of the following steps:
      • Click the "Folder" icon associated with "Internal memory", and then navigate to where you wish to add the music files on your phone's storage
      • Click the "Folder" icon associated with "External memory", and then navigate to the location where you wish to add the music files on your SD card
    6. On your computer, navigate to the music files that you wish to transfer
    7. Drag and drop these files into Kies
    8. Once the transferring process is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone from your Mac

    Adding Transferred Audio Files to the Notification List:

    1. While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
    2. Select the "Samsung" bundle
    3. Tap "My files" > "All files"
    4. Navigate to the audio file that you've transferred
    5. Tap and hold the file until a green check mark appears next to it
    6. Press the "Menu" button and select "Copy"
    7. Tap "Device storage"
    8. Select the "Notifications" folder and tap "Paste here"

    Setting Custom Sounds

    Changing the Notification Sound:

    1. While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu" button
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Go to the "General" tab
    4. Tap "Sound" > "Default notification sound"
    5. Select the desired notification sound and tap "OK" to assign it

    Changing the Ringtone for All Calls:

    1. From any of the home screens, press the "Menu" button
    2. Select "Settings"
    3. Go to the "General" tab
    4. Tap "Sounds" > "Ringtones"
    5. Perform one of the following steps:
      • To Assign a Custom Audio File:
        1. Tap "Add"
        2. Select the desired application for adding the ringtone
        3. Tap "Always" or "Just once"
        4. Navigate to the desired audio file, and tap it
        5. Tap "OK"
      • To Assign a Pre-Installed Ringtone:
        1. Tap the desired ringtone from the list
        2. Tap "OK"

    Changing the Ringtone for One Contact:

    Note: you can't assign custom ringtones to contacts that are stored only on the SIM card. If necessary, copy the contact to another account.

    1. While on the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
    2. Tap "Contacts" and go to the "Contacts" tab
    3. Select the desired contact
    4. Tap the "Edit" icon depicting a pencil
    5. Tap "Ringtone"
    6. Perform one of the following steps:
      • Tap "Default"
      • Tap "Ringtones", select the desired ringtone and then tap "OK"
      • Tap "Go to My Files" to assign a custom music file. Navigate to the file and tap the "Bullet point" associated with the file, then tap "Done"
    7. Tap "Save"
