    Data Usage

Enabling / Disabling the Data Usage Limiter:

The data usage limiter allows you to set a limit for data transfer, in order to prevent you from using more data than your allowance, thus avoiding extra charges on your contract. Note: it's recommended that you set a lower limit value than the actual allowance. Your carrier's method of measuring data differs from the one used by your phone.

    1. While on the home screen, tap "All apps"
    2. Tap "Settings" > "Data usage"
    3. If necessary, tap the "Mobile data" switch to turn on this feature
    4. Perform one of the following steps:
      • Enabling the Data Usage Limit:
        1. Mark the "Limit mobile data usage" check box
        2. Tap and hold the "Red bar" on the graph and set it to the desired amount. Once this limit is reached, data connectivity will be automatically disabled
      • Set a Data Usage Warning:
        1. Tap and hold the "Orange bar", and drag it to the desired value. Once this limit is reached, data connectivity will not be disabled, but you will be notified

    Viewing Data Usage by App:

    1. While on the home screen, tap "All apps"
    2. Tap "System settings"
    3. Tap "Mobile data"
    4. If necessary, drag the blue bars on the graph to edit the time period that you wish to include
    5. Scroll down to view the list of applications, listed from those that have used the most data, to the lowest
    6. Tap an application to view detailed information about data consumption

    Internet Browser Management

Clearing the Browser Cache, Cookies and History:

    1. While on the home screen, tap "All apps"
    2. Tap "Chrome" to launch the default browser

    4. Tap "History" > "Clear browsing data"
    5. Tap "Clear browsing history", and then tap "Clear"
    6. Tap "Clear the cache", and then tap "Clear"
    7. Tap "Clear cookies, site data" and tap "Clear"

    Using Tabbed Browsing:

    1. Tap "All apps" on the home screen
    2. Tap "Chrome" to launch the browser
      • To open additional windows:
        1. Tap the "Menu" icon
        2. Tap "new tab" to add a standard tap, or tap "new incognito tab" for private browsing
      • To navigate between open windows / closing tabs:
        1. While on the Chrome browser, tap the "Tabs" button
        2. Swipe between tabs and select the one that you wish to open
        3. To close a tab, press the "X" button associated with it
