    Data Usage Management

    Viewing Data Usage by App:

    1. While on the home screen, tap the "All apps" icon
    2. Tap "System settings"
    3. Tap "Mobile Data"
    4. If desired, tap and hold the "Blue" bars, and slide them to the left and / or right to determine the period of time you wish to include
    5. Scroll down and view the list of applications that have used data connectivity (they are listed from most data used to least)
    6. Tap an app to access detailed information about its data usage

    Using the Data Usage Indicator

The data usage indicator is a tool that can be used to determine data usage, and limit it in order to prevent extra charges on your smartphone bill. To access and use the data usage indicator:

    1. Tap the "All apps" icon located on the home screen
    2. Select "Settings"
    3. Tap "Data usage"
    4. If necessary, tap the switch associated with "Mobile data" and set it to "ON"
    5. Perform one (or more if applicable) of the following steps:
      • Enabling a data usage limit:
        1. Check the "Limit mobile data usage" check box
        2. Drag the "Red bar" on the graph, and set it to the desired amount. Once this limit is reached, your device will automatically disable data connectivity. Note: it's a good idea to set a lower limit than your actual data allowance. The method of measuring data used by your phone differs from the method used by the carrier
      • Setting a usage warning:
        1. Tap the "Orange" bar on the graph and slide it to the desired level, under the data limit (red) bar
        2. Once this value is reached, you will be notified / warned, but you will still be able to use data connectivity
      • Disabling data usage limit:
        1. Clear the "Limit mobile data usage" check box
