Air gestures are a feature of the Note 3 that allow you to control the phone without actually touching the screen. They may be a little learning curve to get them to work properly so here is how it's done.

First you need to activate the Air Gesture feature if you haven't already. To do so do the following:
    1. Go to Apps from the home screen
    2. Settings > Controls > Air Gesture
    3. drag the toggle switch to the right

    Here are the gestures:

    Quick glance
With the screen off, wave you hand above the screen to view messages, missed calls, the date/time, and notifications

    Air jump
When viewing email or web pages, wave you hand up and down to scroll the page

    Air browse
Move your hand to the left or right to browse images, songs, or web pages.

    Air call-accept
When you receive a call, move you hand to the left, and then to the right to answer the call.

Note that the Note 3 may not recognize gestures as well if your hand is too far from the screen or you are wearing dark colored gloves.
