You could do it if you're comfortable taking a phone apart. The process is probably very similar to this:

Yes the water was soapy. If I had to clean the parts with alcohol, would it be possible for me to do it, or does someone experienced have to do it?

was the water somewhat clean or soapy? If soapy it's possible soap has dried between connections on circuit boards causing things to fail. The only way to remedy in this case is to take everything apart and clean with pure alcohol and tiny cleaning tools.

If it was clean then it's possible things still need to dry out more.

Last night I dropped my Samsung galaxy S2X (T989) in the bath tub.

I have experienced water damages to cell phones before, so I knew what to do. I took out the battery and the SIM card and put it in a bag of rice overnight. The next day, it turned on fine and everything worked, except the front and back cameras were foggy and had little water droplets on them. I opened up the back of the phone further and managed to wipe away the droplets, but whenever I want to use the camera, it just pops up as "Warning: camera failed" and the camera won't work. Also the sound doesn't work anymore either. it works if you plug in headphones, but not out loud. I am planning to put in rice again tonight. Do you think the camera and sound will fix itself, or is it broken for good?
