    Blocking Calls:

While the latest Android OS versions offer the possibility to block calls from a specific number, the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact's proprietary user interface doesn't offer this possibility.

However, you can still block calls from unwanted or unknown contacts, with the help of various applications such as "Call Blocker" or similar apps. They usually offer password protection and tons of options for blocking purposes.

To block all incoming or outgoing calls without the use of apps:

    1. Go to the "Settings" menu
    2. Tap "Call settings"
    3. Tap "Call Barring" and select an option
    4. Enter a password and tap "Enable" (NOTE: you are required to enter a password if this is the first time you enable call blocking)

    Call Forwarding

    Forwarding Calls (Unconditional):

    1. While on the home screen, press the "Applications" icon
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Scroll down to "Device" and touch "Call settings"
    4. Swipe to and tap "Call forwarding"
    5. Select "Always forward" and enter a phone number to forward calls to. NOTE: optionally, you can tap the "Contacts" icon and select a number to forward to from the contacts list
    6. Tap "Enable"

    Forwarding Some Calls Only (Conditional):

    1. While viewing any of the home screens, tap the "Applications" icon
    2. Go to "Settings" and tap "Call settings" under "Device"
    3. Scroll to, and tap "Call forwarding"
    4. Choose one of the following options:
      • Forward when busy
      • Forward when unanswered
      • Forward when unreachable
    5. Enter the phone number to which the calls will be forwarded to, or tap "Contacts" and select a number from your contacts list
    6. Tap "Enable"

    Manage the Call Log

    Viewing the call log:

    1. Tap the "Phone" icon located on your home screen
    2. Tap the icon depicting an "Arrow", associated with a call log entry in order to view it
    3. You can view additional call details under "Duration"

    Resetting the Call Log:

    1. Access the "Phone" application
    2. Press the "Menu" icon located in the lower-right corner of the screen
    3. Tap "Clear call log"

Enabling / Disabling Touch Tones (DTMF) When Dialing:

    1. While on the home screen, tap "Applications"
    2. Open "Settings"
    3. Scroll to "Device" and tap "Call settings"
    4. Mark or unmark the check box associated with "Dial pad touch tones" to enable or disable DTMF
