Managing Contacts

Adding a New Contact:

1. Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
2. Go to the "Contacts" tab and tap the "+" icon
3. Select where you wish to save the contacts, such as "Device", "SIM" or your Google account
4. Tap the "First name" field and type in a name for the contact
5. Enter any additional information as you see fit, including the contact's email address, website etc. Visit this link to learn how to assign a ringtone to a contact
6. When you're done editing the contact, tap "Save"

Importing / Exporting a Contact from the SD Card:

1. Open the "Contacts" application
2. Go to the "Contacts" tab
3. Press the "Menu" key and select "Import / Export"
4. Perform one of the following options:
   
   • To copy contacts from the SD card to your device:
     
     1. Tap "Import from SD card"
     2. Select the location where you want to import the contacts, such as a Google account
     3. Tap "OK"
     4. Choose to "Import vCard file", "Import multiple vCard files" or "Import all vCard files"
     5. Tap "OK" and if required, select the desired vCard file, and tap "OK" again
   • To copy contacts from the device to the SD card:
     
     1. Tap "Export to SD card"
     2. Press" OK" in order to confirm

Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SIM Card:

1. Tap "Contacts" while on the home screen
2. Access the "Contacts" tab
3. Press "Menu"
4. Tap "Import / Export" and perform one of the following:
   
   • To copy contacts from your device to the SIM card:
     
     1. Tap "Export to SIM card"
     2. Select the contacts that you want to copy, or tap "Select all"
     3. Press "Done" > "OK"
   • To copy contacts from the SIM to your device:
     
     1. Tap "Import from SIM card"
     2. Select the location where you wish to copy the contacts and tap "OK"
     3. Place a check mark next to the contacts that you wish to copy, or tap "Select all"
     4. Tap "Done"

Assigning a Contact to Speed Dial:

1. Tap the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
2. Tap the "Keypad" tab if necessary
3. Press the "Menu" button
4. Tap "Speed dial setting"
5. Select the dial pad number that you wish to assign
6. Choose the contact that you wish to assign to the dial pad number

Deleting Contacts:

1. While on the home screen, tap "Contacts"
2. Go to the "Contacts" tab. NOTE: if you wish to delete contacts from a single list, such as Google, press "Menu" > "Contacts to display" and select a list
3. Press the "Menu" button and tap "Delete"
4. Mark the check boxes associated with the contact(s) that you wish to delete. Optionally, tap "Select all"
5. Tap "Delete" > "OK"

Contact Group Management

Creating a New Caller Group:

1. Open the "Contacts" application
2. Go to the "Groups" tab
3. Press the "Menu" button and tap "Create"
4. Type in the desired group name
5. Tap "Add member" and then select the members that you wish to be part of the group
6. Tap "Done" and press "Save"

Adding Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

NOTE: in order to add a contact to a caller group, the contacts needs to be saved on a Google account or on the phone's memory.

1. Tap "Contacts" from the home screen
2. Access the "Groups" tab
3. Select the desired group
4. Tap the "+" button, or press "Menu" > "Edit" > "Add member"
5. Mark the check boxes next to the contact(s) that you want to add, or tap "Select all"
6. Press "Done"
