Managing Contacts

Adding a New Contact:

1. Tap the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
2. Go to the "Contacts" tab in the top-left corner
3. Tap "Add contact" > "Local contact"
4. Type in the contact's name and last name in the right fields
5. Enter the contact's phone number in the "Phone" field. Optionally, tap "Mobile" and choose the appropriate type of phone number from the drop-down list
6. If necessary, enter any additional information in the desired fields
7. Tap "Done" when ready to save the contact

Adding a New Contact from a Text Message:

1. Open the messaging app
2. Tap the icon depicting a human figure and tap "Save"
3. Select to "Create new contact" or select an existing one
4. Enter any additional information as you desire, and tap "Done"

Adding a Picture and Assigning a Custom Ringtone to a Contact:

1. Open the "Contacts" application
2. Select the contact that you want to assign a picture to
3. Tap the "Edit" icon
4. Tap the "Camera" icon and choose a method of adding a picture
5. Once you've assigned the image, tap "Done"

Assigning a Contact to Speed Dial:

1. Tap the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
2. Press the "Menu" icon from the bottom-right corner
3. Tap "Speed dial settings"
4. Tap the "Add" button associated with the dialer pad number that you wish to assign
5. Select the desired contact from the list

Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SD Card:

1. Open the "Phone" application
2. Go to the "Contacts" tab and tap the "Menu" icon depicting three vertical dots
3. Select either "Import contacts" or "Back up contacts"
4. Tap "SD card". If importing contacts, choose the vCard file that you want to import
5. Tap "OK"

Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SIM Card:

1. While viewing the home screen, tap the "Phone" icon
2. Access the "Contacts" tab and tap "Menu"
3. Select "Import contacts" or "Back up contacts"
4. Tap "SIM card" and perform one of the following:
   
   • When importing contacts:
     
     1. Tap "Local contact" when prompted to choose an account
     2. Select the contacts that you wish to import, or tap "Import all"
   • When exporting contacts:
     
     1. Choose the contacts that you wish to export, or tap "Mark all"
     2. Tap "Back up" and then tap "Add contacts"

Importing Contacts via Bluetooth:

1. From the home screen, drag the "Notification" bar down
2. Tap the "Bluetooth" switch to enable the feature
3. On the sender device, send the contacts towards the Xperia Z1s
4. On your smartphone, when receiving the transfer notification, drag the status bar down and tap "Start"
5. Once the transfer is complete, tap the notification and the received file to import / store the contacts

Deleting a Contact:

1. Press the "Phone" icon from any home screen
2. Switch to the "Contacts" tab if necessary
3. Tap and hold the contact that you wish to delete, and tap the "Trash can" icon located in the bottom-right area of the screen
4. Tap "OK" to confirm

Sending Contact Information

Sending Your Business Card:

1. Open the "Contacts" app and tap "Myself"
2. Press the "Menu" icon and tap "Send contact" > "OK"
3. Choose a desired transfer method and follow the self-explanatory on-screen instructions

Sending a Contact:

1. From the contacts application, tap the contact that you wish to send
2. Press "Menu" > "Send contact" > "OK"
3. Select the desired sharing method and follow any additional self-explanatory steps

Sending Multiple Contacts:

1. Access the "Contacts" app
2. Tap "Menu" > "Mark several"
3. Mark the contacts that you wish to send. Optionally, tap "select all"
4. Tap the "Share" icon and select the desired transfer method

Managing Groups

Creating a New Contacts Group:

1. Tap the "Phone" icon while on the home screen
2. Go to the "Groups" tab
3. Tap "Add group" and enter a name for the group
4. Press "Done" when ready

Adding Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Open the "Phone" application and access the "Groups" tab
2. Select the group that you wish to add contacts to
3. Tap "Add contact"
4. Select the contacts that you want to add and tap "Done"
