If you transfer number associated with account, data also transfers.

The down side is you'll lose your phone #.

I have a negative Motorola Android phone, you can have free, because I did not use it on a new carrier. I love the phone itself, but to find a cheaper service.Attachment 50228

Yes, I'm aware of the ETF - hence trying to get someone to take this over

Also, yes, they would get my number. But they can always change it afterwards and keep the contract. Just like I could change my number RIGHT NOW if I wanted to.

You cannot change the telephone number of the contract you are transferring to someone else. They will get your number. If you transfer your number to another carrier, your account with AT&T will be cancelled and you will be billed for Early Termination Fees. Since this is a smartphone, your ETF will be reduced by $120 for the twelve months used in your contract. That would leave an ETF of $215.

Where did you get the $20 for unlimited data? It is $20 for 300 megabytes or $30 for three gigabytes.

You can always change your phone number.

I was not aware of the new data rates, but I'd advise anyone who is interested to check out the AT&T site for more info (common sense!). FYI $20/mo for unlimited data is stilll significantly cheaper than 2G for $30/mo via Verizon.

Also, the $10 for 1000 texts should remain on there, as I got that deal through a promotion. I only send a few hundred texts a month and called and complained about the recent $20/unlimited as the only option. If whoever takes over the contract, brings that up to AT&T, it shouldn't be an issue.

    So....any takers?

    450 mins + 5000 rollover for $39.99
    200 mb data for $15
    1000 texts for $10

Of course you can always add more data, texts, or minutes.

I have a Motorola Flipside Android phone which you can have for free, since I'll have no use for it on a new carrier. I love the phone itself, but looking for cheaper service. It is 3G capable with a very comfortable QWERTY keyboard. Works great for the casual web surfer, fast Gmail, Facebook, Googlemaps, etc.

Thanks and let me know if you have any questions!
