    Thanks for the input

Not bad, but the iCloud and iTunes methods work on both Windows and Mac computers, and that might come in handy for those who don't own a Windows machine. The method described by you seems to work only on Windows PCs.

No need to use iTunes or iCloud to transfer iPhone contacts to LG Optimus. Since the LG phone runs Android, simply export the iPhone contacts in Android format and import them to the LG as described here:

Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts from an iPhone:

Among its many functions, iTunes also gives you the option of syncing your iPhone contacts with a Google device. This allows you to easily pick up the accounts on an Android device. For this method you need a PC with iTunes installed, the iPhone's USB cable and an Internet connection

    1. Launch iTunes on your PC
    2. Establish a connection between your iPhone and your computer via USB
    3. The device should now appear in iTunes. Clicking it will open the summary page
    4. Access the "Info" tab and place a check mark next to "Sync Contacts With"
    5. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
    6. If you've never used a Google account in iTunes, enter your Google account's username and password. Otherwise, you can click "Configure" and select a previously added Google account
    7. Click "Apply" in order to sync the contacts
    8. On your LG smartphone, register the same Google account as the one used in iTunes. To add an account, access the "Settings" menu and go to "Accounts"
    9. Set the Google account so that it syncs the its contacts with your device

    Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts:

In case you have enabled iCloud on your iPhone before, then the contacts stored on your smartphone may have already been backed up on your iCloud account. If so, you can easily transfer the contacts over to your Android device by performing the following steps:

    1. Open your computer's Internet browser and visit https://www.icloud.com/
    2. Click "Contacts" to access the contact list
    3. Choose the contacts that you wish to share
    4. Click the button depicting a cog wheel, located in the bottom-left area
    5. Select "Export vCard" and your computer will download a VCF file containing the contacts
    6. Import the VCF file to "Google Contacts". Alternatively, you can connect your LG Optimus L1 II TRI to your computer via USB, copy the vCard file to the device's "sdcard" storage and import the contacts using the "Contacts" application. (Open the app, go to the menu, select "Import / Export")

Using the "My Contacts Backup" Application:

My Contacts Backup is an iOS application that offers the option of sharing your iPhone contacts with an Android device without the need to access a computer. To use this method:

    1. On your iPhone, open the App Store and download "My Contacts Backup"
    2. Launch the application
    3. Tap "Backup" to back up all the contacts stored on your iPhone in the form of a VCF file
    4. Once the backup is complete, tap "Email"
    5. The email will contain the VCF file as an attachment. Send the email to your own Gmail address
    6. Switch over to the LG, and open the email. Download the VCF file in order to import the contacts via the "Contacts" application

Using the "Bump" Application to Transfer Contacts:

Last but not least, you can transfer your iPhone contacts over to the LG smartphone using the "Bump" application. For this approach you don't need access to a computer. The only prerequisite is an active Internet connection on both smartphones

    1. Open the App Store on your iPhone and download "Bump"
    2. Install the same application on the LG device, from the "Play Store"
    3. Open Bump on both smartphones and allow permissions if prompted
    4. On your iPhone, swipe until you access the contacts screen
    5. From the list of contacts, select the ones that you want to share
    6. After the "Bump Now!" label appears in the upper-right area of the screen, gently bump the two smartphones
    7. If done right, a "Connect" button will appear on both handsets' displays. Tap it, and your iPhone contacts will be transferred over to the LG Optimus L1 II Tri via cloud
