    Try going to "Settings" > "Wireless & Networks" > "USB Utilities" and tap the button. After that, connect the USB cable, tap the connect button and see if it works.

    Youve misunderstood me when I plug in my phone on my phone normally usb connected shows up you click it then click turn on mass storage however my usb connected message only shows up momentairly then disappears so I dont have a chance to turn on mass storage

    Hi Twd4e,

    This may have numerous causes. First, after you connect your smartphone to the computer, make sure the device connects as a "Media Device". See the notification area.

    If the phone simply connects for a second and then the connection is lost (Windows plays the "Device disconnected" sound), then you might want to try a different USB cable and see if that one works. Perhaps your USB cable is faulty.
    You can also try different USB ports on the computer, and you might also consider updating your USB drivers.

    i am trying to plug my samsung s2 phone into my computer via usb and normally you just click on usb connected and enable mass storage the problem is usb connected flashes for a second then dissapears.... ive tried multiple software from the googleplay store and nothing has worked anyone have any ideas?
