no luck with 5 different micro usb cables. has to have the s5 cable to charge.

USB3 only increases the data transfer speeds. Charging is the same as micro USB, so you shouldn't have any issues using both chargers.

I upgraded to the S5 from an S4, and my wife had an SIII. The S5 has a new micro USB3 port in addition to the micro USB port. Can I use the old SIII and S4 micro USB chargers with the S5? Does charging with USB3 have advantages or will the micro USB charger damage anything on the S5?
