    Enabling Battery Saving Mode:

    1. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" button
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Access the "My device" tab
    4. Tap the "On / Off" switch associated with "Power Saving Mode" and set it to "ON"
    5. Tap "Power saving mode"
    6. Mark or clear the check boxes associated with the features that you wish to be enabled or disabled during power saving mode, such as "CPU power saving" etc.

    Lowering the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. From the home screen, press the "Menu" button
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Access the "My device" tab
    4. Tap "Display" > "Brightness"
    5. Clear the check box associated with "Automatic brightness"
    6. Drag the slider to the left and tap "OK"
    7. Tap "Screen timeout"
    8. Select a lower value, such as "15 seconds"

    Disabling GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Hotspot:

    NOTE: In order to maximize battery life, it's recommended that you disable all connectivity features when not in use.

    1. Press the "Menu" key while on the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Access the "Connections" tab
    4. Tap "More networks" > "Tethering & Mobile HotSpot"
    5. Tap the "On / Off" switch associated with "Mobile Hotspot" and set it to "Off"
    6. Return to the home screen and swipe the "Status" bar down
    7. Tap the switches next to "Wi-Fi", "Bluetooth" and "GPS" to disable the features

    Changing Application Sync Settings:

    1. Press "Menu" from the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Access the "Accounts" tab
    4. Under "My Accounts", select the desired account type
    5. Tap to adjust the available sync settings for the selected account type
    6. Tap your "user name" or "email address" to adjust more sync settings

    Disabling Background Data:

    1. From the home screen, press "Menu"
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Access the "Connections" tab
    4. Tap "Data usage"
    5. Press the "Menu" button
    6. Mark the "Restrict background data" check box

    Minimizing the Use of Third Party Apps:

    1. Press "Menu" from the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings" and go to the "More" tab
    3. Tap "Application manager"
    4. Swipe to the "Downloaded" screen
    5. Tap the desired app
    6. Tap "Disable" to turn off the app, or "Uninstall" > "OK" to completely remove it

    Switching from 4G to 2G Connectivity:

    1. Press "Menu" while on a home screen
    2. Tap "Settings" and access the "Connections" tab
    3. Tap "More networks" > "Mobile networks" > "Network mode"
    4. Tap "GSM Only" to restrict your phone to 2G connectivity
    5. To return to 4G, tap "LTE / GSM / WCDMA (auto connect)" or "GSM / WCMA (auto connect)"

    Updating to the Most Recent Software Version:

    NOTE: This guide works only if a new software update has been released, which fixes battery life issues or improve the phone's power management. If no update is available, then following the steps below will have no effect on your phone's battery performance.

    1. From the home screen, press the "Menu" key
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Access the "More" tab
    4. Tap "About device" > "Software update"
    5. If an update is available, follow any additional on-screen prompts to download and install it
