WARNING! Master resetting your smartphone will return your phone's settings to factory values and will result in the deletion of all personal data stored on the internal memory, including third party apps, contacts, images, custom ringtones and downloaded content. NOTE: master resetting your phone will not affect data stored on the SIM and SD cards.

NOTE: Before proceeding with the reset, you may want to back up your data. Visit this link to learn how you can back up and restore data on the LG VOLT.

Master Resetting via the Settings Menu:

    1. While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu" button
    2. Tap "System settings"
    3. If necessary, press "Menu" and select "Switch to list view"
    4. Go to "Personal" and tap "Backup & Reset"
    5. Tap "Factory data reset" > "Reset phone"
    6. Tap "Erase everything" and review the warning screen
    7. Tap "OK" to confirm, and wait for your handset to apply the master reset and reboot

Master Resetting Using Hardware Keys (Recovery Menu):

NOTE: Assuming that you are unable to master reset your smartphone from the settings menu, you can apply a factory reset from the recovery menu. This menu can be accessed by pressing a combination of keys, as instructed below:

    1. Turn off your smartphone
    2. Press and hold the "Home", "Power" and "Volume Down" keys at the same time
    3. At the "Factory Hard Reset" screen, release the hardware buttons
    4. Press "Power" to confirm, and wait for your smartphone to reset and automatically reboot
