    Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts:

iTunes can be used to sync the contacts stored on your iPhone with a Google account. This feature allows you to easily transfer the contacts from your iPhone to the HTC Desire 210, and all that is required is access to a computer hooked up to the Internet and with iTunes installed. Synced contacts will include the contact image, notes, email address(es) and any other details stored within the contact.

    1. Open iTunes on your computer
    2. Use the proprietary USB cable to connect the iPhone to the computer
    3. After it connects, the iPhone will pop-up in iTunes. Click it to view the summary page
    4. Go to the "Info" tab
    5. Mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
    6. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
    7. Enter your Google account and password. Alternatively, if you've already added an account, go to "Configure" and select an existing Google account
    8. Click "Apply" and iTunes will start syncing the contacts with your account
    9. Once the process is done, register the same account on the HTC Desire 210. NOTE: to add an account, go to "Settings" > "Accounts"
    10. Allow Google to sync contacts with your Android smartphone

    Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts:

In case you have used the iCloud service on your iPhone prior to following this guide, then the contacts stored on your smartphone should already be backed up on your iCloud account. By accessing it using the Internet browser on your computer, you can export the contacts for use on an Android device like the HTC Desire 210.

    1. Launch the Internet browser on your computer and visit https://www.icloud.com/
    2. Sign in with your iCloud account
    3. Click "Contacts" and mark the contacts that you wish to export
    4. Click the icon depicting a cog wheel, located to the lower-left side
    5. Select "Export vCard" and wait for your computer to download the VCF file
    6. Import the file to Google Contacts, or skip this step and perform the next one instead:
    7. Connect the HTC Desire 210 to your computer via USB and copy the file to the phone's "sdcard" directory. Then, launch the "People" app and press "Menu" from the "People" tab. Next, tap "Import / export", select to import the contacts from the storage / SD card, select an account and load the vCard file

    Using "My Contacts Backup":

You can use various third party applications to transfer the contacts stored on your iPhone, without needing a computer. My Contacts Backup is an iOS application that can be used to back up all the contacts stored on the iPhone, and export the file via email.

    1. Visit the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
    2. Launch the application and tap "Backup"
    3. Once the backup file has been created, tap "Email" to attach the file to the email
    4. Send the email to your own Gmail address
    5. Switch over to the HTC Desire 210 and open the email
    6. Download the attachment and launch the "People" application to import the VCF file's contents to the phonebook

Using "Send Anywhere" for Contact Transfer:

Send Anywhere is another third party applications that works on both iOS and Android, and can be used for contact transfer cross-platform. The applications does the transfer over a P2P connection, so you are not required to have access to a computer.

    1. Go to the Google App Store and install "Send Anywhere" on the HTC Desire 210
    2. Access the App Store and download the same app on your iPhone
    3. Launch the application on both smartphones
    4. On the iPhone, tap "Send" and go to "Contacts"
    5. Select the contacts that you wish to share and tap "Send"
    6. Lastly, select the method of sharing. You can tap "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone, and scan the code with the Desire 210's camera. Also, you can tap "Receive" on the Desire 210, and enter the transfer code that has been randomly generated on the iPhone to commence the transfer
