check for the Bluetooth versions of both phone and Motorola t215 car speaker!
reset the device try to pair and have check, if issue persists call the manufactures!

Right, I know it has bluetooth - but I was wrong anyway, apparently it does have the bluetooth profile for voice over bluetooth, which specifically is "Hands-Free Profile" (HFP), but the phone does not have voice dialing. That's the problem. The phone handles the voice dialing not the hands-free bluetooth speaker.

Actually tavenger, I just performed a Google search for that phone and it's sold through Amazon. According to the Amazon description of the phone, it has Bluetooth capabilities.

Jim, are you sure the two devices successfully paired with one another?

I don't believe the z221 has the bluetooth profile to do voice dialing.

    Hello:
I have an AT&T z221 prepaid go phone paired to a Motorola t215 car speaker. I can not get the go phone to allow me to make voice activated calls or voice commands even though the Verizon phone I had previously worked perfectly with the Motorola hands free speaker. I can call the last number I dialed by holding down the "make a call" button on the Motorola speaker but he Motorola speaker NEVER asks me who or what to call! I have looked everywhere in my AT&T manual but can find nothing about "voice activation or voice commands", etc. It's a little disappointing that the Verizon phone worked but this AT&T phone does not. I'd appreciate any feed back you might have to solve this issue.
    thanks,
    jim
