Transferring Contacts using Google Sync:

Using a Google account you can sync the contacts stored on the Galaxy Beam, and then re-sync them on the Galaxy Beam 2. This is one of the easiest and common methods of transferring contacts from one Android smartphone to the other.

1. Log in with the desired Google account on the Galaxy Beam
2. From the home screen, press "Menu"
3. Tap "Settings" and access "My accounts"
4. Select "Google" and tap your "user name" or "email address"
5. Clear and mark the "Sync contacts" check box, or tap "Sync now"
6. On the Galaxy Beam 2, register the same Google account as the one used on the Beam
7. Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
8. Go to "Settings"
9. Under "User and Backup", tap "Accounts"
10. Press "Menu" and tap "Sync all"

Using the "Contacts" App and "Import Export":

With the help of the "Contacts" app, you can easily transfer the contacts from your Galaxy Beam to the Beam 2, by exporting them in a vCard file. Then, you can transfer the file to the Beam 2 via email or using a computer.

1. On the Galaxy Beam, launch the "Contacts" app
2. Access the "Contacts" tab
3. Press "Menu" > "Contacts to display" > "All contacts"
4. Press "Menu" and tap "Import / Export"
5. Tap "Export to SD card" and record the backup file's name for future use
6. Tap "OK"
7. Launch the email client on your device and start a new email
8. Attach the VCF file to the email, and send it to your Gmail address
9. On the Samsung Galaxy Beam 2, open the email and download the VCF file
10. Launch the "Contacts" app
11. Press "Menu" > "import / Export"
12. Select "Import from SD card" or "Import from storage"
13. Choose an account if necessary, and load the vCard file to import its contents to your phonebook

NOTE: after you have created the vCard file on the Galaxy Beam, you can transfer it to the Beam 2 by connecting both handsets to a computer via USB. Then, copy the file from the Beam's memory, and transfer it to the Beam 2's "sdcard" directory. Once transferred, launch the "Contacts" app and import the file as explained above.

Using "Send Anywhere" to Share Contacts:

In case your preferred method of contact transfer is via third party apps, then "Send Anywhere" should fit the bill. You can use this app to transfer various types of files and contacts from one device to the other via a P2P connection. Evidently, using this method you are not required to have access to a computer.

1. Launch the Google Play Store and download "Send Anywhere" on both of your smartphones
2. After the app has been installed, open it on both handsets
3. On the Beam, tap "Send" and select "Contacts"
4. Mark the contacts that you want to share and tap "Send"
5. Lastly, you will need to choose a method of transfer. You can tap "Receive" on the Beam 2 and input the randomly generated transfer code, or you can tap "Generate QR Code" on the Beam and scan the code with the Beam 2's camera in order to start the transfer
