I will go for HTC M8, a real smart phone. Good performace and beautiful looks.

At this point I think it's a matter of preference. The interfaces are slightly different, but they both have almost all of the same major software features and very comparable hardware apart from the s5 having a higher resolution camera, being water resistant and having a pedometer. I am all set on the M8, then someone advised the new Samsung S5.

So, HTC M8 vs Samsung S5? They guy I spoke with at the Bell store today advised getting the M8, just because it has less software running in the background, less draw on the phone. He said the S5 has some stuff that needs to run, but slows the phone down.

M8 the better of the two?
