    Restoring Applications:

    1. Sign in with your Google or Samsung account, depending on what type of account contains your backup
    2. Access the phone's "Settings" menu
    3. Swipe to "User and Backup" and then tap "Accounts"
    4. Tap "Samsung" or "Google" and touch your "email address" located at the top of the screen
    5. Tap "Sync all"
    6. Press "Back" to return to the "User and Backup" menu
    7. Touch "Backup and reset"
    8. Mark / clear the check boxes next to "back up my data" and "Automatic restore"

    Restoring Contacts

    Restoring Contacts from a Samsung or Google Account:

    1. Sign in with your Google or Samsung account
    2. Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
    3. Tap "Settings"
    4. Swipe to "User and Backup" and then go to "Accounts"
    5. Tap "Samsung" or "Google", depending on the type of account used for the initial backup
    6. Tap your "email address" at the upper side of the screen
    7. Mark the "Sync Contacts" check box and tap "Sync now"

    Restoring Contacts from the SD Card:

    1. Launch the "Contacts" app
    2. Access the "Contacts" tab
    3. Press "Menu" and tap "Settings" > "Contacts"
    4. Tap "Import / Export"
    5. Select to "Import from SD card"
    6. Select an account and load the VCF backup file

    Restoring Media

    Restoring Media Files from the Phone's Storage:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch "My Files" and tap "All files" > "SD card"
    3. Press "Menu" and tap "Select"
    4. Mark the check boxes associated with the folders and / or files that you want to restore
    5. Press "Menu" and then tap "Move"
    6. Tap "Device storage"
    7. Navigate to where you wish to restore the files and tap "Move here"
    8. You can tap "Create folder" in order to move the files to a different location

    Restoring Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini to your computer via USB
    2. Drag the "Status" bar down
    3. Tap "Connected as a media device"
    4. Mark the "media device (MTP)" check box
    5. On the computer, click "Open device to view files"
    6. Launch a second Windows Explorer window and go to where the files are backed up on your PC's hard drive
    7. Copy the desired files and transfer them to the "Card" or "Phone" directories on your smartphone
    8. Once the transfer is done, safely disconnect your smartphone by clicking the "Mass storage device" icon from the system ray

    Restoring Media Files from a Mac:

    1. Connect your Galaxy S5 Mini to your Mac using the USB cable
    2. Swipe the "Status" bar down and then tap "Connected as a media device"
    3. Mark the "Media device" check box
    4. Open Kies on the Mac and go to the "Back up / Restore" tab
    5. Click the "Restore" tab
    6. Mark the check boxes next to "Music" and "Photo". NOTE: if you wish to restore all of your media files, mark the "Select all items" check box
    7. When you're ready, click "Restore" and if necessary, follow any additional on-screen prompts to complete the process
    8. Once the data has been restored, safely disconnect your smartphone by ejecting the drive from the Mac's desktop
