    Inserting the SD Card:

    1. Turn off your smartphone and safely remove the back cover
    2. Make sure the SIM card is inserted before attempting to fit the SD card
    3. Insert the SD card in its slot and refit the back cover
    4. Reboot your smartphone and the SD card should now be usable

    Checking the SD Storage:

    1. While viewing the home screen, tap "Apps"
    2. Go to "Settings"
    3. Swipe to "System" and tap "Storage"
    4. The "Available space" value will be displayed under "SD card"

    Changing the Memory Storage Location

    NOTE: The Samsung Galaxy Young 2 will save data from most applications (such as the Camera app) to the phone's internal storage by default. However, you can change each app's settings in order for it to save data on the SD card instead.

    Changing the Camera App's Storage Settings:

    1. While viewing the home screen, tap "Camera"
    2. Tap the "Settings" icon shaped like a cog wheel
    3. Tap "Storage" and then select "Memory Card"

    Changing the Voice Recorder's Storage Settings:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch the "Voice recorder" application
    3. Access the app's "Settings" menu
    4. Swipe to "Storage" and tap "memory card"

    Changing the Internet App's Storage Settings:

    1. Open the apps drawer and launch the "Internet" app
    2. Press "Menu" and go to "Settings"
    3. Go to "Advanced" and then tap "Content settings"
    4. Tap "Default storage" and set the app to use the "SD card"

    Changing the Storage Location for DLNA (Nearby Devices):

    1. Access the phone's "Settings" menu
    2. Scroll to "Connect and Share" and then tap "nearby Devices"
    3. Make sure the "Nearby Devices" switch is set to "ON"
    4. Tap "Download to" and then select "SD card"

    Opening or Deleting Files Located on the SD Card

    Deleting Files:

    1. To delete files using your smartphone, open the apps drawer
    2. Launch the "My Files" application
    3. Go to "Local Storage"
    4. Tap "SD card" > "SD memory card"
    5. Press the "Menu" button located in the top-right corner and tap "Select"
    6. Mark the check boxes next to the content that you wish to delete
    7. Press "Done" and then tap "OK"

    Opening or Deleting Files on the SD Card via a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Samsung Galaxy Young 2 to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "USB connected"
    3. Tap "Connect USB storage"
    4. From the AutoPlay window on your computer, choose to "Open folder to view files"
    5. Open the "Card" directory to access the phone's external storage
    6. Navigate to the desired files and view or delete them as desired
    7. When you're done, tap "Disconnect storage from PC" on the phone, or click the "media device" icon in the system tray in order to safely disconnect your smartphone

    Opening or Deleting Files on the SD Card via a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: Skip the first 3 steps if Samsung Kies is installed on your Mac

    1. Launch the Internet browser on your Mac
    2. Visit Kies and click "Download for Mac OS"
    3. Launch the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup
    4. Connect the Galaxy Young 2 to your computer via USB
    5. Swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
    6. Mark the "Media device (MTP)" check box
    7. Launch Kies on the Mac. The Young 2 should pop-up in the "Connected devices" area
    8. From Kies, locate the files stored on the Young 2, by clicking the "Folder" icon associated with "External memory"
    9. Double-click a file to open it, or mark it and click the "Trash Can" icon to delete it
    10. After you're done, click the "Galaxy Young 2" disk drive located on the Mac's desktop, and safely disconnect your smartphone

    Transferring Files From / To the SD Card

    Transferring Files from the SD Card to the Internal Storage:

    1. Open the apps drawer and launch the "My Files" app
    2. Go to "Local storage" and tap "SD card"
    3. Tap "SD memory card" and navigate to the desired files / folders
    4. Mark the check boxes next to the files you wish to transfer
    5. Press "Menu" and select to "Move" or "Copy" the file(s)
    6. Tap "Device storage" and navigate to where you wish to transfer the files
    7. Once there, tap "Move here" or "Paste here"

    Transferring Files from the Internal Storage to the SD Card:

    1. Open the "My Files" app
    2. Access "Local storage" and tap "Device storage"
    3. Navigate to where the desired files are located on the internal storage
    4. Mark the check boxes next to the desired files and press "Menu"
    5. Select to "Move" or "Copy" the selected files
    6. Tap "SD memory card" and navigate to where you wish to transfer the files
    7. Tap "Move here" or "Paste here"
