    Transferring Audio Files

    Transferring Audio Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy Avant and your computer
    2. Drag the "Notification" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
    3. If necessary, mark the "Media device (MTP)" check box
    4. On the computer, an AutoPlay window should appear. From there, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
    5. Navigate to the location where you intend on transferring the files on your phone
    6. Open a second Windows Explorer window and locate the audio files stored on your PC's HDD
    7. Transfer the desired audio files to the phone's storage
    8. After the process is done, click the "Mass storage device" icon located in the system tray, and safely disconnect your handset from the PC

    Transferring Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: The first 2 steps should be skipped if you already have Samsung Kies installed on your Mac

    1. Launch the Internet browser on your Mac and visit Kies
    2. Click "Download for Mac OS" and follow any additional instructions to complete the installation process
    3. Once Kies has been installed, connect the Galaxy Avant to the Mac via USB
    4. From the phone's home screen, swipe the "notification" bar down
    5. Tap "Connected as a media device" > "Media device (MTP)"
    6. From the main Kies screen, click the "Folder" icon associated with "External memory" or "Internal memory"
    7. Navigate to the location where the audio files should be transferred on your phone
    8. Locate the files stored on the Mac's HDD
    9. Drag the desired audio files, and drop them in Kies to commence the transfer
    10. Finally, safely disconnect the Galaxy Avant from the computer

    Managing the Ringtone and Notification List

    Adding Audio Files to the Ringtone List:

    1. From the home screen, press "Menu"
    2. Tap "Settings" > "Sound"
    3. Tap "Ringtones" and touch "Add"
    4. Choose to add ringtones using "Sound picker" or "Choose music track"
    5. Tap "Always" or "Just once", and tap "OK" to confirm

    Adding Audio Files to the Notification Sound List:

    1. Launch the "My Files" application
    2. Tap "All files" and locate the audio files you wish to add
    3. Tap and hold a file, and select "Copy"
    4. Tap "Device storage" and navigate to, then open the "Notifications" folder
    5. Tap "Paste here"

    Changing the Ringtone and Notification Sound

    Changing the Phone's Ringtone:

    1. Tap "Menu" while viewing a home screen
    2. Tap "Settings" > "Sound" > "Ringtone"
    3. Select the desired ringtone and tap "OK" to set it

    Assigning a Custom Ringtone to a Specific Contact:

    NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts that are stored on the SIM card or the phone's internal memory

    1. Open the "Contacts" application
    2. Tap "Edit" > "Ringtone"
    3. Choose the ringtone you wish to set and tap "OK"
    4. Tap "Save" to confirm

    Setting a Song as a Ringtone:

    1. Tap "Apps" from the home screen
    2. Go to "Settings" and tap "Music"
    3. Access the "Tracks" tab and select a song
    4. Tap "menu" > "Set as"
    5. Tap the "Auto recommendations" button
    6. Under "Set As", select "Phone ringtone", "Caller ringtone" or "Alarm ringtone"
    7. Tap "Done"

    Changing the Notification Sound:

    1. Go to the phone's "Settings" menu
    2. Tap "Sound" > "Notifications
    3. Select a notification sound and tap "OK"
