    Inserting the SD Card:

    1. Turn off your smartphone
    2. Remove the back cover by prying up on the notch
    3. Gently insert the SD card in its slot with the gold contacts facing down. Once installed properly, the card should click into place
    4. Replace the back cover and reboot your smartphone

    Checking the Amount of Space on the SD Card:

    1. From the home screen, press "Menu"
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Access the "More" tab and tap "Storage"
    4. The "Available space" value is located under "SD card"

    Formatting the SD Card:

    WARNING! By formatting the SD card you will delete all data stored on it. Create backups if necessary

    1. From the home screen, press "Menu"
    2. Tap "Settings" > "more"
    3. Tap "Storage" and tap "Format SD Card" under "SD Card"
    4. To confirm, tap "Format SD card" again

    Opening or Deleting Files Stored on the SD Card

    Using Your Smartphone:

    1. From the home screen, tap "Apps"
    2. Open "My Files" and tap "All files"
    3. Touch "SD memory card" and select the folders whose contents you wish to view or delete
    4. Tap a file to open it
    5. To delete a file / folder, mark the check box next to it and tap the "Trash can" icon
    6. Tap "OK"

    Using a Windows PC:

    1. Connect your SGS4 Value Edition to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the "Status" bar down
    3. Tap "USB connected" > "Connect USB storage"
    4. On the computer, click "Open folder to view files" > "OK"
    5. Locate the desired files stored on the SD card
    6. Open or delete the files as you desire
    7. After the process is done, safely disconnect your device by clicking the "removable mass storage device" icon located in the system tray

    Using a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: Skip the first 2 steps if Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac

    1. On your Mac's Internet browser, visit Kies
    2. Click "Download for Mac OS" and follow the on-screen prompts to install Kies on the Mac
    3. Establish a USB connection between your smartphone and Mac
    4. On the smartphone, swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
    5. Mark the "Media device" check box
    6. Launch Kies on the Mac
    7. From Kies, click the "Folder" icon associated with "External memory"
    8. After deleting or viewing the desired files / folders, safely disconnect your smartphone from the Mac by ejecting its drive from the desktop

    Transferring Files On / From the SD Card

    Transferring Files Between a Windows PC and the SD Card:

    1. Connect your SGS4 VE to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "USB Connected" > "Connect USB storage"
    3. On the computer, click "Open folder to view files" > "OK"
    4. Locate the desired files on the SD and copy them to your computer's HDD (or vice versa)
    5. Once the transfer is complete, tap "Disconnect storage from PC"

    Transferring Files from a Mac to the SD Card:

    1. Establish a connection between the S4 VE and Mac via USB
    2. From the notification area, tap "Connected as a media device"
    3. Launch Kies on the Mac
    4. Click the "Folder" icon next to "External memory"
    5. To transfer files from the Mac to the SD card, drag and drop them in Kies
    6. After the files have been added, safely disconnect your smartphone

    Transferring Files From the Internal Storage to the SD card:

    1. Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
    2. Tap "My Files" > "All files"
    3. Tap "Device storage"
    4. Navigate to the files you wish to move from the internal storage to the SD card
    5. Mark the check boxes associated with the desired files
    6. Tap the "Menu" icon and tap "Move". (NOTE: tap "Copy" if you wish to create duplicates)
    7. Tap "SD memory card" and navigate to where the files should be transferred
    8. Tap "Move here" or "Paste here"

    Transferring Files from the SD Card to the Internal Storage:

    1. Follow the first 2 steps from the guide above
    2. Tap "SD memory card"
    3. Locate the desired files and mark the check boxes next to them
    4. Tap the "Menu" icon and tap "Copy" or "Move"
    5. Tap "Device storage" and go to the location where the files should be transferred
    6. Tap "move here" or "Paste here"
